Gospel Light Baptist Church was started in 2000 by Pastor Jon Horton.
We love God and our community, and want to connect them to each other.
Jon Horton
Pastor
Pastor Jon Horton started the church in September of 2000. He has served the church and community faithfully with an unfailing love for people and an uncompromising stand for the Word of God.
Teresa Horton
Pastor's Secretary
Serving alongside her husband since day one, Teresa has been a true servant in all areas of the ministry. With an attention to detail and a desire to do all things with excellence, Teresa has been used of God to encourage her husband's ministry while serving the church family of Gospel Light Baptist Church.
Jake Tackett
Children's Pastor
Jake Tackett has been a member of our church since he was a teenager and is a high school graduate of Ambassador Baptist Academy of Malvern (a ministry started by our church in 2005). He went on to West Coast Baptist College where he graduated with a ministerial degree and now works in our Christian school as the 4th-6th grade teacher. He oversees our junior church on Sundays.
Principal
Narciso Clata
Narciso Clata joined our staff in August of 2015. He worked previously as a principal and an assistant pastor in California for 15 years. He now serves as the principal of our Christian school, teaches our senior citizen Sunday school class, and helps with various other ministries at our church.
Aaron Tipton
Youth Pastor
Pastor Aaron Tipton and his wife, Sierra, joined our ministry team in 2021 as our youth pastor. He is a graduate of Hyles-Anderson College and served as an assistant pastor for 5 years in Posen, IL before moving to Gospel Light. Aaron teaches our college and career class along with teaching Bible in our Christian School.
Victoria Tackett
Church Pianist
Victoria graduated valedictorian from Champion Baptist College with a Bachelor's in Music Education. Victoria came to be a part of our ministry in August of 2011. Victoria is the primary piano player in our church. She also helps in our music ministry by giving lessons and working with the special music.
Regina Kirkman
K5 Teacher
Regina Kirkman graduated from Pensacola Christian College December of 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in Music. She has taught kindergarten for many years, but recently joined ABA as a teacher in 2021.
Eloise Kirkman
Elementary Teacher
Eloise is a retired veteran missionary who served in Papua New Guinea for over 20 years. She joined our ministry in 2022 as our 1st and 2nd grade teacher.
Shay Fuentes
Jr. High Teacher
After graduating from Shasta Baptist Schools in Redding, CA, Shay began attending Golden State Baptist College in 2015. While there, she spent nearly four years working at Challenger Private Schools, and the following year, began working at Kipp Public Charter Schools while living in Los Angeles, CA. In 2020, God called Shay and her husband to Arkansas where she joined our staff in 2021.
